Tuesday, April 24, 2007Inherited GlasswareThis is a flower bowl and candy dish I inherited from my paternal Grandmother. My Grandmother died of cancer sometime in the 1970s. I never met her and, listening to my Father tell stories about her, I am glad I didn't have the displeasure. Sometime in the late nineties part of my Father's childhood home was being demolished and much of their belongings were still in the house. My Dad asked if he could retrieve some of the items and these are two of the things he was able to attain. I can plainly admit that I do not choose to keep these as a memory of her. I will keep them because I like them. This, to me, is proof that people should be careful as to what kind of people they are because their memory will live on for a very long time. ![]()
